For Filippo, the automotive business has always been more than a career—it has been a part of his life from the very beginning. Growing up, his father served as General Manager of Toyota, Jaguar, SAAB, Honda, Volkswagen, and Nissan dealerships, which meant Filippo spent much of his childhood around the dealership environment. It didn't take long for him to realize that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps.

Fresh out of high school, Filippo began building his own career in the automotive industry. He started in sales, gained experience in service, moved into management, and eventually became General Manager of dealerships representing Chevrolet, Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Volkswagen, and Nissan.

After more than 10 years as a General Manager, Filippo met Chuck and Romana Primus, the previous owners of Whaling City Motors. He spent two years serving as their General Manager before being given the incredible opportunity to purchase Whaling City Motors and carry on the legacy they had built. Years later, that legacy continues—and Whaling City continues to grow.

Under Filippo's leadership, Whaling City Auto Group has continued to evolve, improve, and invest in the customer experience while remaining true to the heritage that has made Whaling City a trusted name in the community. What began as an opportunity to carry on the Whaling City tradition has become a long-term commitment to making the dealership better year after year.
